Stronger Together: From Lab to Life

November 12, 2026 | 6:00 PM ET | Cipriani South Street

Welcome to the inaugural JAX-NYSCF Gala, a celebration of science and the impact of community. Building on The New York Stem Cell Foundation’s (NYSCF) 20-year legacy of accelerating cures for patients, and marking our new chapter as part of The Jackson Laboratory, this signature annual celebration will showcase the combined and unprecedented promise of NYSCF and JAX research: Stronger Together.

The evening brings back our time-honored interactive Science Fair, featuring research that is uniquely transforming the future of neurodegenerative conditions like Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s, rare diseases, cancer, cardiovascular disease, and more.

Our honorees each embody an inspiring commitment to bringing research From Lab to Life: The incomparable Martha Stewart — entrepreneur, Emmy®️ award winner, and champion of the science of everyday living. As an early stem cell science advocate with ties to both NYSCF and JAX, Martha exemplifies the power of connections that lead to life-changing discoveries. The visionary Dinakar Singh — JAX Trustee and champion of rare disease research. As founder of Axon Capital and the SMA Foundation, Dinakar has tirelessly pursued better treatments for patients with spinal muscular atrophy, including his daughter, the intrepid Arya Singh. Transcending her early diagnosis, Arya never allowed SMA to limit her path, graduating from Yale and now pursuing her Ph.D. at Weill Cornell Medicine. As a public health researcher and rare disease advocate, she brings her 20+ years of clinical trial experience to bear for patients around the world.
